Teignbridge's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But drivers will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A38, from 7pm April 25 to 5am April 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Chudleigh - lane closure for drainage works.

And a further seven closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A30, from 8pm April 29 to 6am May 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Ide lane closure for surveys.

A30, from 8pm April 29 to 6am May 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 both directions South Tawton to Whiddon Down lane closures for structure inspection.

A38, from 8pm April 30 to 6am May 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Chudleigh lane closure for barrier repairs.

A38, from 8pm May 3 to 6am May 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Belvedere Cross (Haldon Racecourse) exit slip road closure for sign maintenance, diversion via A39 westbound to Harcombe Cross and return.

A30, from 8pm May 7 to 6am May 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 westbound, Ide lane closure for surveys.

A30, from 8pm May 7 to 6am May 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Ide lane closure for surveys.

A30, from 8pm May 9 to 6am May 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Ide lane closure for surveys.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
